  1. All of us are in different places in our lives which is why I’m sensitive to posting lots of pictures of vacations and other material items that may be offensive or downright obnoxious to some important people in my life. I hate gloaters and people who exaggerate their lives on Facebook for whatever reason(s). My life is far from perfect, and I’ve got a lot of work to do before I pretend to be successful… whatever that is. That being said, if you and your significant other are looking for an ideal vacation, I want to suggest you consider Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I have fallen in love with this place. It has more soul, culture, and history than you can imagine. The people, entertainment, landscape, cobblestone streets, architecture, and food is amazing. The US dollar is strong and the people of this place appreciate us and our tourism dollars. There’s art galleries, tequila shops (and tastings!), incredible surf, endless beachfront bars, clubs, shopping, and the most amazing sunsets every day. It’s a walking city that feels endless. You’ll never visit all of the various neighborhoods, beaches, restaurants, and hidden gems, even after you’ve comeback multiple times. Visitors and residents are friendly and engaging, and won’t be shy about telling you about their favorite places to go. I have had the best hamburger, sangria, fresh-squeezed juices, margaritas, roadside (cart) food, coffee, and rotisserie chicken i’ve ever had… here in Vallarta. You’ll make new friends and probably revisit them again next year. It’s a town that doesn’t care if you’re young or old, black or white, fit or fat, gay or straight, outgoing or shy, early-to-bed or a night owl. You’ll enjoy every moment–in the moment. And as the last hours and minutes of your time here tick-away, you’ll truly come to appreciate Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for what it is… a glorious old city with a fascinating combination of the expected and unexpected. Please go if you can, this place will not disappoint.

    1. You have summed up our beautiful city in a wonderful way. Those of us that live here – we appreciate all of these things you describe and feel fortunate to live is such a place. The plane ride home for me was also so sad…but now I live here year round and I never tire of it!
